GDFLPA Info – Services

The following are just some of the services and benefits provided to you by your Association:

1. Administration – Your Association retains a full time Executive Office Administrator who maintains the G.D.F.L.P.A. office as well as two members. They will handle your inquiries, provide you with information when needed, help you process any grievance you may have, and help with your football problems in general. In addition, they work on endorsements, promotions, agent registration, a database of all players and contracts, general accounting procedures, All Star Ballots,All-Star Nominees, Association publications and other tasks.

3. Contract Advice/College Admissions – Your Association can help you with your individual contract negotiation or college admissions. If you are negotiating your contract with a payed league for example; Arena or Indoor Football,UFL ,CFL,or the NFL you may contact Legal Counsel for the Association and they will provide you with pertinent  information and Club information to assist you in the negotiation of your contract.
4. Publications – Your Association has a number of publications to help you. They include the following: a NCAA Rules Booklet, various newsletters, and updates.
5. Award – Each year the G.D.F.L.P.A. presents a special award at the  Awards Ceremony. The   Award is given to the individual who not only displays outstanding sportsmanship, but has also made a contribution to his team and to his community.
6. All Star Team – Each year the G.D. L.P.A. prepares and distributes ballots for the various positions to the players and coaches of the G.D.F.L. so that they can vote for the player they feel is the best at their given position. Posters are made and distributed to players and all All Stars receive an Award.
7. G.D.F.L.P.A. Scholarship – Each year $500.00 is awarded annually to one player who will be attending school during the off-season during the off-season following the football season.
8. Statistical Awards – Each year the Players’ Association acknowledges players with the best Statistics in their particular category. The recipient of each Statistical Award will receive an award.
9. Licensing Revenues & Endorsements – Your Association continually works on endorsements on behalf of the players. GDFLPA  Players is our Marketing division and is a new and exciting endeavour for the Players’ Association. Since its’ inception in 2010, we have seen an increase in our licensing revenues.
